Again, the all-Italian duel for victory, this time Bastianini beat Bagnaya. Aleix Espargaró finds the podium in front of the excellent binder, Quartararo on the ground several corners from the start. Ducati wins the World Constructor’s Championship

The intense Aragon Grand Prix has just ended. The MotoGP stopped at Motorland after the events at Misano Adriatico, which led Francesco Bagnaia to victory in a sprint over Enea Bastianini. Today, however, there has been a reversal of roles: “Bestia” signed his fourth win of the season at the end of a very close duel with his future teammate. Enea, who had started from square three, had fallen back to fifth after the start, only to recover until he became the leader stalker.

From the sixth lap the long battle between the Ducati fans began: on the ninth lap Bastianini passes Bajnaya, making a mistake that forced him to rejoin. The final lap was decisive, with the final overtaking and defensive sprinting, all beneficial to reclaiming the first class on the podium and giving Ducati the constructors’ championship. First time in the field of honor in 2022 for Pullman Bagnaia who, despite the defeat, regained 20 points over the unfortunate Fabio Quartararo.

Alex Espargaro completed the top three after an overall not exceptional weekend. The Ebri managed to make up for any ordeal over the past days, overtaking Brad Bender for third on the penultimate lap. KTM’s South Africa right off the podium: Manufacturer Mattighofen is back to fight for the top spots after a challenging year. Bender was the author of a cat shot initially, which took him from the tenth starting square to the third square.

Jack Miller was fifth overall, and he wasn’t in great shape. Behind him are the excellent Jorge Martin and Luca Marini, with the latter continuing his good spell. Johann Zarko is eighth, ahead of Alex Rins, who is the only one from Suzuki, and Marco Pizzecki, who has completed the top ten. Also in the points are Miguel Oliveira, Alex Marquez, Maverick Vinales, Cal Crutchlow and Paul Espargaro.

Marc Marquez, Fabio Quartararo and Takaaki Nakagami have retired. The Spaniard was the protagonist in the aforementioned rider crashes: after a slight hike and then under Mark’s control, Quartararo, who remained in the Iberian’s heels, found himself a wall in front, hit bike #93 and accordingly. Then a piece of the World Champion’s fairing got stuck under the Marquez’s tail, causing problems for the landing gear when it was activated in turn 8: this resulted in the rear wheel locking up and the accident in which Nakagami occurred. Collisions with a high risk rate for the safety of pilots, which have reported minor physical consequences.
